What Bioliners™ Corrects

Bioliners™ can correct crowded teeth, gaps between teeth, rotated or tipped teeth, cross bite, overbite and underbite. Because each Bioliners™ allows movement from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm per tray, they are best used for minor tooth alignment.

Some patients choose to have their bracket braces removed before their teeth are completely straightened. Bioliners™ is often used to finish straightening teeth or closing gaps caused by molar bands, and even as a retainer after any method of alignment. They are also ideal for patients whose teeth have relapsed from previous orthodontic treatment.

How Bioliners™ Works

Bioliners™ is fitted silicone trays, similar to those used for tooth whitening. However, Bioliners™ is designed to move your teeth in precise increments toward their ideal position. The process begins when we make an impression of your teeth in our office. A model is made from the impression and is used at the Bioliners™ lab where they separate the teeth to be moved and reset them, positioning them closer to the final alignment intended when the process is completed. From the modified model they make the Bioliners™ tray for the first stage of alignment.

Each model can be used to create three Bioliners™ suck down aligners. Each aligner has a thermal plastic insert designed to gently move your teeth in small increments toward the final position. They are each designed to move teeth over two or three weeks, so the first cast can be used to create the three initial aligners. If another cast is needed it can be made from a new impression after the third Bioliners™ has done its work.
