Teeth Whitening treatment is designed to whiten discolored teeth by as many as eight shades! At Willow Dental we offer our patients three unique treatments for teeth whitening, with both take-home and in-clinic options.
The Zoom Teeth Whitening
Zoom Teeth Whitening treatment in Mississauga is performed from the comfort of our dental office in less than two hours and uses both a special lamp and hydrogen peroxide to achieve the results you need.
First, the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel will be applied to your teeth. The light will then be applied for roughly 15 minutes to activate the hydrogen peroxide. As this occurs, the hydrogen peroxide breaks down causing oxygen to enter the enamel and dentin, which bleaches the teeth and removes stains.
During this time, patients can relax and watch television or listen to music. This process will be repeated a total of three times per session for a total of 45 minutes.
Afterward, a fluoride gel will be applied to your teeth to reduce any sensitivity. You can also ask for a sensitivity-reducing toothpaste if your teeth are particularly sensitive.

Pola Light
Pola Light is a new and advanced tooth whitening system that combines both Pola’s award-winning whitening formula and an LED mouthpiece to create a faster at-home whitening treatment.
For 20 minutes each day for 5 days, you can quickly whiten your teeth using Pola Light. The Pola Light device sits comfortably in your mouth and is easy to use with its small, compact size, and no cords attached to the mouthpiece. The high viscosity, neutral pH tooth whitening gel used with Pola Light can create quick and noticeable changes in the color of your teeth in the comfort of your home.
Pola Light comes with both day and night packs so you can use them at any time of the day. They are fast-acting and formulated to safely and quickly remove stains and return your teeth to their natural white color. Both day and night Pola Light gels are formulated with sensitive teeth in mind. The gels are much more hydrated than other whitening gels to minimize sensitivity.
Custom Whitening Trays
At Willow Dental we also offer custom whitening trays. This method, like Pola Light, can be easily used at home. They are designed to fit your teeth perfectly using impressions of your teeth with some extra space for bleaching gel. The gel breaks down stains and removes yellowness from the surface of your teeth.
When inserting your custom whitening trays into your mouth be careful not to mix your saliva with the bleaching gel to avoid diluting it. Diluting the bleaching gel inside custom whitening trays can lead to the gel being less effective at whitening your teeth. It is recommended to leave your whitening trays in for at least 30 minutes but they can be left in your mouth overnight.
Another benefit of custom whitening trays is that they can be reused as many times as you like.
