Becoming a New Patient at Our Dental Clinic
We strive to make the new patient process simple and welcoming. Before your first appointment, we’ll ask you to complete a few forms to help us provide personalized care, including:
Dental insurance information (if applicable)
Medical and dental history forms
An X-ray release form if you’ve had recent dental X-rays taken at another office
Completing these forms in advance allows our team to better understand your health history and ensure a smooth first visit.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit to Willow Dental is designed to help us get to know you—not just your teeth. When you arrive, we’ll start with a tour of our clinic and take time to sit down with you before your appointment. This is your opportunity to share your past dental experiences, current concerns, expectations, or any anxieties you may have about dental care.

Your New Patient Appointment
Your first appointment is reserved for two full hours to ensure unhurried, comprehensive care:
Complete Oral Exam (60 minutes)
You’ll spend one hour with the dentist for a thorough oral examination, which includes an evaluation of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw. Any necessary digital dental X-rays will be taken to help us accurately assess your oral health and identify areas that may require attention.
Professional Dental Cleaning (60 minutes)
The second part of your visit includes a 60-minute cleaning with one of our experienced dental hygienists. This appointment focuses on removing plaque and tartar, improving gum health, and providing personalized oral hygiene recommendations.
After Your Visit:
Following your appointment, our team will:
Submit dental insurance claims on your behalf
Collect payment for any services not covered by insurance
Review findings and discuss recommended treatment, if needed
Schedule future appointments and provide clear treatment estimates
